Beach Access

Take pleasure in oceanfront access to Maui’s secluded Ka‘anapali North Beach. Be reminded that the natural beauty of Hawai‘i’s beaches may be accompanied by adverse ocean conditions that require you to act with caution to avoid injury. The beach in front of The Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas North is public property and is not controlled or patrolled by the resort, and there are no lifeguards. For daily surf, ocean conditions and warnings, please consult the information boards located near the beach walk.


We invite you to check in after 4 p.m., and request that you check out before 10 a.m., Hawaiian time. However, if your arrival or departure does not coincide with our schedule, the Front Desk will be happy to receive your bags while you enjoy the surrounding resort facilities. For your security, keys will only be given to the individual with the reservation unless other arrangements have been made.

The state of Hawai‘i assesses an occupancy tax on vacation ownership villas that is payable at check-out. This tax will range between $5 and $16 per night, based on the size of the occupied villa.

Children’s Activities

The inspired Keiki Club (Westin Kids Club®) offers programs for children from ages 5 to 12 and is designed to introduce children to Hawaiian culture and traditions. For more information, please contact the Westin Concierge. Rates for this service are subject to change without notice.

Grocery Service

Allow us to stock your villa with your preferred groceries from our Kai Ala Market. For a nominal fee, we will pre-stock your villa’s kitchen in advance with all of your favorite treats, beverages, sandwiches, breakfast foods, laundry items and fare for the grill. Please complete the order form and submit your request at least 24 hour prior to arrival. Your items will be waiting in your villa when you arrive or shortly thereafter.

WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Center

Elevate your fitness to a new level with WestinWORKOUT® fitness center. This distinguished workout room is open daily, 24 hours a day. Your villa key will gain you access.


Enjoy privileged access to the challenging North and South Ka‘anapali Golf Courses with 36 holes of Hawai‘i’s finest golf. The Ka‘anapali Golf Courses feature a clubhouse, pro shop and driving range. For information regarding tee times and transportation to these and other beautiful golf courses on Maui, please contact the Westin Concierge.


Your villa will receive a midweek limited service tidy (limited to towel exchange and trash removal) if you are staying for at least seven nights. If you are staying for more than a week, an additional housekeeping service will be scheduled during the check-in process. Midweek service is not provided for stays less than seven nights. Additional housekeeping services are available directly through the resort for a fee. Additional housekeeping fees will be automatically charged to your villa folio for the second or more reservations (based on transaction date not arrival date) within a single Use Year associated with a single ownership interest.

Guests whose stay is reserved with a nightly rental rate should contact their booking source or the resort directly for housekeeping provisions.

Personalized Details

Special Requests

Unfortunately, the resort is unable to accept requests for a specific view. The resort will make every effort to fulfill your other requests, but requests are subject to availability and therefore not guaranteed. Rollaway beds, cribs, highchairs and other special request items are limited in supply and are fulfilled on first-come, first-served basis. Charges apply for some special request items. Rollaway beds are limited to one per villa and are not available in the studio premium villas due to space limitations. Special requests should be placed more than 24 hours in advance of your arrival. To make arrangements, Starwood Vacation Owners should contact Owner Services to place special requests; rental guests should contact their booking source or the resort directly; exchanger guests should contact the exchange company.

In-villa Babysitting Services

We offer private, in-villa babysitting on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours of advanced notice for all babysitting requests. To arrange appointments, please contact the Westin Concierge.


In order to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible and to keep your villa clean and comfortable, our policy is that pets are not permitted anywhere on the resort property. Allow us to assist you in finding one of the many kennels and pet boarding facilities in the area to best serve your needs. Please make arrangements prior to your arrival by calling the resort directly. Exceptions are made for pets that fall within the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Smoking Policy

Effective January 1, 2014, The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas North modified its smoking policy to prohibit smoking (including electronic cigarettes) both inside the villas and on the balconies/lanais. If signs of smoking are detected, a $250 fee will be applied to your folio.

Additionally, in compliance with local Maui County and State of Hawaii regulations and ordinances, which limit smoking within 20 feet of a permanent structure and/or building, smoking is prohibited in the enclosed areas around the swimming pools, the restaurants and the children’s play areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas, which are available throughout the resort.


Guests of The Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas, The Westin Maui Resort and Spa and Sheraton Maui Resort now have access to a complimentary shuttle that will travel between Ka‘anapali and three locations in Lahaina. All guests will be asked to show their room key prior to boarding the shuttle, whose stops include the Lahaina Cannery Mall, Lahaina Gateway Mall, and Hilo Hattie’s.

To ensure the safety and comfort of all, items such as large strollers and large articles of luggage are not allowed on the shuttle. This is in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations whereby shuttle aisles and exits must be obstruction-free. The driver has unrestricted freedom to operate the vehicle and passengers are protected from injury caused by displaced or falling items. Small umbrella strollers may be permitted based upon the shuttle driver’s discretion. The resort provides complimentary umbrella strollers to guests for use during their stay. Wheelchair assistance can be arranged with an advance notice of 30 minutes.
