To reduce our carbon footprint on the beautiful island of Kaua’i, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas continues its industry-leading efforts of going green. In this spirit, we are installing a cogeneration (Cogen) system, which will allow the resort to produce electricity on site. The Cogen system will be used to heat the pools and water throughout the resort. This project will be completed in phases. During installation, guests will see activity related to this project, including trenches to our villas. We anticipate minimal impact and all amenities will remain available for guest use. The project will continue through Spring 2014.
We invite you to check in after 4 p.m., and request that you check out before 10 a.m., Hawaiian time. However, if your arrival or departure does not coincide with our schedule, the Front Desk will be happy to receive your bags while you enjoy the surrounding resort facilities. For your security, keys will only be given to the individual with the reservation unless other arrangements have been made.
The state of Hawai’i assesses an occupancy tax on vacation ownership villas that is payable at checkout. This tax will range between $5 and $16 per night, based on the size of the occupied villa.
The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is perched atop a steep cliff with villas overlooking the island or the resort courtyard. Therefore view requests are not accepted for this resort.

Your villa will receive a midweek limited service tidy (limited to towel exchange and trash removal) if you are staying for at least seven nights. If you are staying for more than a week, an additional housekeeping service will be scheduled during the check-in process. Midweek service is not provided for stays less than seven nights. Additional housekeeping services are available directly through the resort for a fee. Additional housekeeping fees will be automatically charged to your villa folio for the second or more reservations (based on transaction date not arrival date) within a single Use Year associated with a single ownership interest.
Guests whose stay is reserved with a nightly rental rate should contact their booking source or the resort directly for housekeeping provisions.
Unfortunately, the resort is unable to accept view requests. The resort will make every effort to fulfill your other requests, but requests are subject to availability and therefore not guaranteed. Rollaway beds, cribs, highchairs and other special request items are limited in supply and are fulfilled on first-come, first-served basis. Charges apply for some special request items. Rollaway beds are limited to one per villa and are not available in the studio premium villas due to space limitations. Special requests should be placed more than 24 hours in advance of your arrival. To make arrangements, Starwood Vacation Owners should contact Owner Services to place special requests; rental guests should contact their booking source or the resort directly; exchanger guests should contact the exchange company.
Ample and convenient self-parking is provided. Additionally, alternate parking arrangements for RVs or oversized vehicles can be made by calling the resort directly, as they are not allowed on property. We will be delighted to help you make these arrangements when you call 808.827.8700. Please note that parking fees are assessed to some guest types.
In order to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible and to keep your villa clean and comfortable, our policy is that pets are not permitted anywhere on the resort property. Allow us to assist you in finding one of the many kennels and pet boarding facilities in the area to best serve your needs. Please make arrangements prior to your arrival by calling the resort directly. Exceptions are made for pets that fall within the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Effective January 1, 2014, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas will prohibit smoking on the balcony/lanai of all villas. Presently, smoking is not permitted inside the villa, but is permissible on the balcony/lanai. The new policy includes smoking of any sort, including electronic cigarettes. Smoking is still prohibited in the enclosed areas around the swimming pools, in the restaurants and the children’s play areas.
If signs of smoking are detected in your villa, a $250 fee will be applied to your folio.
