Vail is known for being largest ski area in North America and for its wonderful Swiss Village-style dining and shops. Beaver Creek is also renowned for world-class skiing, fine dining, exquisite shopping, an outdoor ice-skating rink and memorable cultural events at the Vilar Center. Edwards is a charming town with family-friendly restaurants and boutique shopping that will appeal to all. These four towns create a diverse and memorable experience.

In addition to world-class winter activities from skiing and ice skating to snowmobiling and sleigh rides, you can partake in summer delights like fly-fishing, kayaking and whitewater rafting in the Eagle River, as well as abundant opportunities like hiking, biking, horseback riding, golf, hot air balloon rides and jeep tours.

White River National Forest

In the heart of the Rocky Mountains and encompassing Beaver Creek and Vail ski areas lie 2.3 million acres of the White River National Forest.  Considered the birthplace of wilderness and the top recreation forest in the nation, White River offers something for every outdoor interest—from fishing, hunting and boating to hiking, horseback riding and plenty of winter skiing and other snow sports.

Ski Museum

Complement your recreation in Vail Valley’s heights with an appreciation of its depths at the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum. Explore the history of the legendary 10th Mountain Division, which played such an instrumental role in developing the sport and leisure of skiing post-World War II, as well as an inspiring Hall of Fame and Olympic collection honoring snow sport innovators and achievers.

Vail Valley Golf

Elevate your game at one of 20 great and gorgeous plays in the Vail Valley, including two world-class courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman at Red Sky Golf Club, meandering through 800 acres of historic Colorado ranchlands brushed with soothing sage and aspen groves, as well as the serenely sloped EagleVail Golf Course nearby that also runs beside the rushing Eagle River.

Adventure Ridge

This snow park the size of a football stadium sits atop Vail Mountain, offering family activities in snow or sun. From ski bikes, a kid’s snowmobile track and tubing lanes in season to mini-golf, horseback riding, lawn sports and a bungee-harness trampoline in summer, Adventure Ridge has something fun for every time of year and every age, all at over 10,000 feet.

Arapahoe Basin

A scenic 45-minute drive takes you to early and late season ski opportunities surrounded by even more stunning Colorado vistas. At a summit elevation of 13,050 feet, Arapahoe Basin contains North America’s highest skiable terrain and hence its longest snow season, providing snow sports on world-class trails through an extended period running from mid-October to as late as July.
