Destination Activities

Create your ideal balance between the best of Caribbean relaxation and invigorating activity, while enjoying the resort’s perfect positioning for access to Cancún’s beautiful beaches, spectacular natural wonders and some of the world’s most famous archaeological sites.

From day expeditions venturing to ancient Mayan treasures and water explorations of meandering caves, stalactite rivers and sacred cenotes, to championship golf courses and renowned waterfront dining, shopping and nightlife, you’ll experience the very best of Mexico’s Costa del Sol.

Chichén Itzá

Once the most powerful city in the Yucatán and a sacred destination of Mayan pilgrimage for more than 1,500 years, Chichén Itzá is a remarkable archeological monument to the marvels of this ancient culture, including the majestic Kukulkán Pyramid, dedicated to the Feathered Serpent God. This temple, also known as El Castillo (The Castle), is one of the new seven wonders of the world.

Tulum

From its east coastal positioning, this ‘City of the Dawn’ is steeped in mystical symbolism, its colored frescoes and intricate carvings conveying clues about the Mayan spiritual world, from the diving god representing Kukulkán and the Venus morning star to the rattlesnake-columned El Castillo on Tulum’s highest cliff offering breathtaking views of the dark turquoise ocean below.

Xel-Ha

Pronounced SHELL-Ha, meaning “where the water is born,” this eco-park has been dubbed the world’s largest aquarium, with 22 natural acres of snorkeling, tubing, swimming with dolphins and other water adventures within a biologically abundant area of Mexico’s Riviera Maya, where freshwater underground rivers, caves and cenotes meet the salty sea in an enchanting lagoon.

Xcaret

Also in Riviera Maya, Cancún, the sprawling grounds of the 200-acre Xcaret (pronounced SHCA-ret) park host a wealth of ecological and archaeological attractions, including a nighttime musical show bringing the rich history of Mexico to life with more than 300 actors, colorful costumes, folklore and dancing. Or explore the underground rivers, beaches and natural pools of this seaside inlet.

Xplor

Thrilling nature adventures await at this unique underground world, where you can fly on zip lines high through treetops, over suspension bridges and below ground to a cooling cenote; trek through Caribbean jungles on an unstoppable amphibious vehicle; or explore subterranean rivers, caverns and grottoes while swimming or rafting amid amazing stalactites and stalagmites.
