Special Conditions
Harborside Resort at Atlantis has various projects planned throughout 2015. Please be aware that on February 12, 19, and 26, the water will be shut off throughout the entire villa resort for emergency maintenance between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. This includes water shut off to all villas and public restrooms. Please note that the pools and all amenities at Atlantis, Paradise Island, will remain open for your enjoyment. We appreciate your understanding during these enhancements.

United States citizens traveling between the United States and the Bahamas, regardless of age, are required to show a passport to reenter the United States.

The food and beverage outlets at Atlantis, Paradise Island operate cashless. The resort will authorize an initial credit card deposit equal to $100 per day at check-in. Additional authorizations will be obtained as required throughout the stay.

As of January 2015, the Bahamian government has implemented the VAT, a new type of consumption tax charged at 7.5% on most goods and services that businesses provide in The Bahamas. VAT is also charged on goods and certain services imported from outside The Bahamas.

Accessibility

This resort is committed to making our facilities, amenities and services accessible to guests with disabilities. Please contact Owner Services with questions or to place requests for handicapped accessible accommodations. 

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 21 years or older with photo identification to check in.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older with valid photo identification.

Amenities
The endless amenities at Atlantis, Paradise Island are available to all Owners and guests of Harborside Resort at Atlantis to enjoy. When you desire a little quiet and relaxation, you can return to Harborside Resort at Atlantis where the amenities are available only to Owners and guests of the villa resort.

Please note the pools at Harborside Resort at Atlantis and the pools and beaches at Atlantis, Paradise Island close at 6 p.m. during the winter and 7 p.m. in the summer. Also, pools and restaurants at Atlantis, Paradise Island close on a rotating schedule. Please check with the Concierge prior to arrival about potential closures during your stay.

Cancellation Policy – Ownership Reservations

Starwood Vacation NetworkSM reservations made during the Home Resort Reservation Period or the SVN Float Period are subject to the following cancellation policy and may be cancelled by calling Owner Services prior to the arrival date of the assigned reservation. Failure to cancel a confirmed reservation prior to the arrival date will prevent the restoration of StarOptions for further use.

Reservations may be cancelled 61 days or greater prior to arrival with no cancellation fee or Usage Restriction.

Reservations made 60 days or less prior to arrival may be cancelled through the following day after making the reservation (before the end of hours of operation, Eastern Time) with no cancellation fee or Usage Restriction. After this grace period passes, however, these cancellations will incur cancellation fees; subsequent usage will be restricted to reservations within 60 days of the new requested arrival date for that Use Year and will not be eligible for StarOptions Banking or Starpoints conversion.

Cancellations fees:

  • 60 days – 8 days: $50 cancellation fee
  • 7 days or less: $75 cancellation fee

Reservations not affiliated with Starwood Vacation Network may be subject to cancellation fees or use restrictions. Please contact Owner Services to inquire about the cancellation policy that applies to your reservation. External exchange guests should contact their external exchange company for the applicable cancellation policy.

Check Cashing Policy

The resort is unable to cash personal checks, but can cash travelers checks. Please check with the Concierge for local banks or ATM locations on property.

Check-in/Check-out

The Diamond Lane makes check-in a breeze. To provide a smooth, quick and easy check-in experience for you, we invite you to fill out our Diamond Lane check-in form. Submit it at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled and confirmed arrival date, and we’ll be better prepared to welcome you to the resort.

We invite you to check in after 4 p.m., and request that you check out before 10 a.m. local time. However, if your arrival or departure does not coincide with our schedule, the Front Desk will be happy to receive your bags while you enjoy the surrounding resort facilities.

Owners, is someone else enjoying your villa or do you need to make other changes to your reservation? Be sure to contact Owner Services and provide your guest’s name prior to their arrival to authorize their check-in or any other modification to your reservation. External exchange guests should contact their external exchange company to obtain a guest certificate if someone else will be checking in. Please also let us know if you’re checking in after your scheduled arrival date, so we can plan properly.

For security purposes, keys will only be given to the name on the reservation. You will be asked to provide a valid government or state-issued photo ID at check in.

Concierge Services

The on-site Concierge is available to assist you with airport transfers to Harborside Resort at Atlantis, as well as restaurant recommendations and reservations, and area excursions and activities.

Dining plans are offered through Atlantis, Paradise Island and must be purchased at least three days prior to your arrival at Harborside Resort at Atlantis. The Concierge can assist you with the purchase of a dining plan. Information and pricing for dining plans and individual restaurants can be found here*. * Meal plans may not be available during holiday periods. Meal plan prices are subject to change without notice.

Credit Card Deposit Policy

Cribs, Highchairs and Additional Bedding

If you are traveling with children, we are happy to provide you with cribs and highchairs upon request. These items are limited in supply and therefore not guaranteed. Charges may apply. Rollaway beds are limited to one per villa and are available only in the One-Bedroom Premium and Two-Bedroom Lockoff villas. Rollaways may not be requested for the One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom or Three-Bedroom Lockoff villas.

To make arrangements, please call Owner Services up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival. External exchange guests should contact the resort directly. The resort will make every effort to fulfill your requests, but requests are subject to availability and therefore not guaranteed.

Unforeseen events or circumstances beyond our control may result in last-minute changes. As a result, special requests that have been fulfilled will not be confirmed prior to the check-in process on the day of arrival.

Dining

Harborside Resort at Atlantis offers cocktails and light meals such as burgers, steaks and salads at The Pointe Restaurant & Bar. As a guest at Harborside Resort at Atlantis, you may also choose to enjoy the array of dining options* at Atlantis, Paradise Island.

Dining plans are offered through Atlantis, Paradise Island and must be purchased at least three days prior to your arrival at Harborside Resort at Atlantis. The Concierge can assist you with the purchase of a dining plan. Information and pricing for dining plans and individual restaurants can be found here*. Early Departure – Owners

Should you check out prior to your confirmed departure date, the unused portion of your reservation will be forfeited. StarOptions are not refunded for late arrival or early departure. External exchange guests should contact their external exchange company for information on early departure.

Grocery Services

Harborside Resort at Atlantis offers transportation (fees apply) to a local grocery store* in Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza. Grocery delivery service is available once you have visited the store and established an account.

Please note that Harborside Resort at Atlantis will not accept delivery for grocery items on behalf of guests. We are also unable to store any perishable or refrigerated items prior to your check-in. Therefore such items should only be purchased after you have access to your villa.

Housekeeping Policy – Owners

Seven nights or more: For your comfort, your villa will receive a restorative mid-week refresher if you are staying for at least seven nights. If you are staying for more than a week, an additional housekeeping service will be scheduled during the check-in process. This will also apply to external exchange guests.

Less than seven nights: Midweek service is not provided for stays less than seven nights.

Additional Housekeeping Services: Additional housekeeping services, including daily service, are available. Please arrange directly with the resort prior to your arrival. Fees apply.

Housekeeping Fees: A charge will be automatically applied to your villa folio for the second or more reservations (based on transaction date not arrival date) within a single Use Year associated with a single Vacation Ownership Interest.

Internet Services

Internet access is available in your villa and throughout the resort (fees apply). Please note that if you have reserved a lockoff villa, the fee is assessed for each side of the lockoff where the Internet is accessed. Contact the resort directly for current Internet fees.

The Business Center also offers internet, computer, printing and faxing services (fees apply).

Parking

Self-parking is available at the resort.

Pet Policy

To ensure your comfort and safety, and to maintain the quality of your villa, our vacation ownership resorts do not allow pets on the resort grounds or in the villas. Exceptions are made for service animals that fall within the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Shuttles to Atlantis

The Harborside Resort at Atlantis courtesy shuttle service runs every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with continuous service between Harborside Resort at Atlantis, Coral Towers, Royal Towers and The Cove Atlantis. Owners and guests who require an accessible shuttle should advise the Concierge to contact the shuttle driver one hour prior to desired pick up time.

The Atlantis courtesy shuttle service runs 24 hours a day, with continuous service between Atlantis Royal Tower, Beach Tower, Coral Tower, as well as Ocean Club Golf Course every 30 minutes. 

Smoking Policy

Harborside Resort at Atlantis strictly enforces its policy of smoke-free villas. Violation of this policy will result in a $350 non-refundable fee added to your folio. Smoking is allowed on the balcony of your villa, if so equipped, and in the outdoor public areas of the resort.

Special Requests

Unforeseen events or circumstances beyond our control may result in last-minute changes. As a result, villa assignment or special requests will only be confirmed during the check-in process.

We are unable to accept special requests for phase, view or specific villa number location. The resort will make every effort to fulfill your other requests, but requests are subject to availability and therefore not guaranteed. Special requests should be placed more than 24 hours in advance of your arrival.

Changes to the arrival or departure date or to villa type (other than releasing one side of the lockoff for reservations confirmed during the Home Resort Reservation Period) will result in a loss of priority for fulfilling special requests.

Please note, for floating villa Owners, reservations confirmed during the Home Resort Reservation Period do not guarantee specific floor, building or villa number assignment. Additionally, reservations made through Starwood Vacation Network do not guarantee phase, view, floor, building, or villa number assignment, even for Home Resort Owners.

Starwood Preferred Guest Benefits

Starwood Preferred Guest® program benefits are not available at this resort, including complimentary room upgrades, Suite Night Awards™, 4 p.m. late check-out, SPG Your24™, complimentary weekday newspaper, and Gold and Platinum welcome amenities.

Transportation

Lynden Pindling International Airport (formerly Nassau International Airport) is approximately 13 miles from Atlantis, and a taxi is the easiest form of transportation to travel from the airport to the resort. For assistance with arranging larger groups, contact the Concierge.
