Can-Am Days (March)

For over half a century, this Myrtle Beach festival has celebrated Canadian and American cultures with a full week-long canon of eclectic events ranging from music concerts of brass, chorale, barbershop and spiritual singers, to regional shows featuring a sea of dolls and bears or classic cars at Run to the Sun, to festive dances, parades and celebrations in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo (April – October)

This free, long-standing event awards monthly commemorative and cash prizes for great catches reeled in from pier, surf, inlet or deep sea and includes the popular Take a Kid Fishing Tournament in late October, with location and age categories for child/adult teams, an exciting opportunity to share the love of fishing with the next generation of anglers.

Myrtle Beach MayFest (May)

The Sun Fun Celebration of Summer kicks off the season with exciting MayFest events along Myrtle Beach's new 1.2-mile oceanfront boardwalk, from beachfront food and wine festivals to live entertainment and music, including the annual Beach Blast! Christian Music Festival around mid-month.

Pelicans Baseball (April – September)

A minor league affiliate in the Carolina League, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are the current farm team for the Texas Rangers, playing home games at BB&T Coastal Field, a family-friendly ballpark with a speed pitch, obstacle course and moon bounce to enjoy on the concourse. In February, the field also hosts Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon and Baseball at the Beach collegiate baseball tournament.

Beach, Boogie & BBQ (September)

This family-friendly festival caps off the Sun Fun Celebration of Summer in Myrtle Beach, with free live entertainment, wake board demonstrations, free boat rides and appearances by celebrity chefs complementing the main attraction: mouthwatering barbecued eats from racks of the country's finest southern-style cooks and vendors, competing in an official champion cook-off.
