Destination Activities

Besides being Florida's premier golf destination, the Treasure Coast offers delightful days drinking in the state's famed sunshine at an array of natural and preserved attractions stretching from miles of beautiful beaches and wondrous wildlife watching to engaging entertainment and forever-fascinating history. Whether swinging the day away on one of numerous distinguished golf courses, stepping back in time at one of the area's diverse museums to see exciting displays of baseball cards, antique cars and recreated old-town scenes or hearing a magnificent modern musical performance in a charming former silent movie house, you'll walk away with an indelible impression of true Florida.

Par Plays

In addition to the wonderland of world-class golf opportunities within your backyard at PGA Village™, many more great games can be found at distinctive golf clubs like Ballantrae, Eagle Marsh, Hammock Creek, Florida Club, Fairwinds and Champions Club.*

Beach Reach

Waves of prized Atlantic shores await: 30 public beaches in nearby Jensen Beach and Hutchinson Island, state parks at Ft. Pierce's scenic inlet or Jupiter's wildlife-rich Hobe Sound, and gentle low-tide swimming for small children at Stuart's Bathtub Reef.

Museums and More

Unique histories presented at St. Lucie County Regional History Museum, Elliott Museum and UDT-Seal Museum explore an eclectic past of native Indian tribes, plantation owners and innovative inventors to baseball, antique cars and U.S. Navy Seals.

Sunrise Theatre

Erected during film's original Silent Era, this immaculately restored theater in historic Fort Pierce now lives as an elegant 1,200-seat performance venue, hosting renowned musical artists, Broadway shows, ballet and opera companies and top comedians.

Florida Gateway

From your location in Port St. Lucie, you're centrally based for day trips or segmented stays at other desirable Florida destinations, including nearby West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, plus exciting Miami and popular Orlando, both about two hours away by car.

*Please note that Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort does not own or operate the golf courses and is not responsible for course closures or maintenance, which occurs from time to time. We do recommend that you contact the golf course management directly prior to arrival to confirm your tee time and for course maintenance schedules that may affect play.
